These threats, or risks, could stem from a wide variety of sources, including financial uncertainty, legal liabilities, strategic management errors, accidents and natural disasters. Societal risk levels appear relatively high in the southwestern part of the country where densely populated dike rings are threatened by a combination of river and coastal floods. It was found that cumulation, the simultaneous flooding of multiple dike rings during a single flood event, has significant impact on the national level of societal risk.

Recently, however, business continuity management (BCM), and Our research fields. Within the area of risk analysis and management, the focus has traditionally been on a technical approach to risk and vulnerability analysis and risk management, but in recent years risk and vulnerability together with the development of risk analysis and societal safety have been viewed in a broader perspective within this academic environment. I have first-hand practical experience with risk management, business continuity and risk resilience as an independent safety risk consultant and through my various positions.
